The striker had a tough afternoon as Arsenal kept him quiet in the showdown between the Premier League title challengers. Keane highlighted the Norwegian's general play as a massive weakness, saying it is at the level of a player who belongs in the fourth tier of English football.

WHAT KEANE SAID
The former midfielder said on : "The levels of his general play is so poor. Not just today, I think his laying stuff off, headers, whatever it might be – in front of goal he's the best in the world – but for his general play for such a player it is so poor… he has to improve that. He's almost like a League Two player, that's the way I look at him. His general play has to improve, and it will do over the next few years."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Keane was not the only former Manchester United hero to criticise Haaland in the game. While doing co-commentary duty on the match, Gary Neville laughed at the forward when he missed a great chance as he failed to connect with the ball. Neville said it looked like Haaland had "never played football before".

DID YOU KNOW?
Keane's comments may be seen as the latest instalment of a feud that has dragged on between the ex-Manchester United star and the Haaland family. Haaland's dad, Alf-Inge, injured Keane's cruciate ligament in a match between Leeds and United in 1997. Years later, Keane's harsh tackle on Haaland senior is said to have contributed to the end of the latter's career, and the Republic of Ireland hero admitted in an autobiography that the challenge was premeditated.
